Peacemaker, whose real name is Christopher Smith, is an anti-hero from the DC universe whose philosophy can be summed up by a particularly radical paradox: he wants to bring about peace, even if it means having to fight, kill or start a war to achieve it.

Created in the comics in the mid-1960s, Peacemaker is portrayed as an experienced fighter, an excellent marksman and a weapons specialist. His extreme approach to justice quickly places him on the cusp between superhero, soldier and vigilante.

The character has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to the film *The Suicide Squad*, followed by the television series *Peacemaker*, in which he is played by John Cena. The series picks up directly where the film left off and explores his personality, contradictions and past in greater depth.

Peacemaker is characterised by his often excessive self-confidence, brutal behaviour and a very literal interpretation of his mission. Behind this façade, however, lies a more vulnerable character, deeply shaped by his upbringing and his relationship with his father.

His equipment is also an integral part of his identity. In particular, he wears a metal helmet which comes in various designs and can incorporate different functions depending on the mission. His arsenal and training make him a particularly dangerous fighter, even without any real superpowers.

He is also associated with the Suicide Squad, where his very particular sense of duty and peace frequently clashes with the motivations of the other members of the group.
